Finally got time to watch the much acclaimed Robert Egger’s 2016 The VVITCH. The film is menacing and does have a set of visuals that will linger in your mind for quite some time. Shot entirely using natural light and a unique aspect ratio (1.66:1 aspect ratio ) the film delves in the world of withcraft. Shot in 25 days, the film is a tight narrative of tales of the delicious temptation, isolation and depression, the symbolic and the supernatural. While our local film here heavily depend on cheap scares, bad makeups and a long fucking list of why the devil turned evil , Robert thoughtfully placed suspense and danger to the audience.   so an artist decide to hang float jackets to resembling a water tower, the float jackets represent feelings and memories of immigrants who took shelter in this water tower....a reminder that history will repeat itself. so when a national institution trying to organize a competition, titled it "art on location ", artists all over town went to create an artwork in order to connect with the community. funny seeing one of the most hated characters created by George Lucas now embraced by new generation of fans.   The Education Ministry received the biggest allocation RM55.2 billion in the 2023 Budget. They received RM52.6 billion allocated in 2022. When giving the breakdown of items in the education sector, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said RM2.3 billion of the overall was dedicated to ensuring best learning infrastructure at all schools.
