7 years ago, i helped out my brother to clear his late auntie in law's property, her husband also passed away later. It took us 2 days to clear their apartment as the unit have so much of stuffs. This incident gave me a strong lesson and made me reflect - 1. what the hell we going to leave behind when we kick the bucket? 2. its better for us to leave peacefully and at ease. Prologue Seriously we dont know what the future hold for us, our actions and decisions will lead us to. Back in 1998, my sis told me that USM ( University Science Malaysia ) have an Art Faculty. Geez, an university have an art school? Seriously? Ok the problem is i didnt go to Form 6 - you need to pass Form 6 to enroll to a public university. I declined the offer to be in Form 6 coz i hated school, the uniforms and all the related rules and regulation, i worked part time as lorry driver delivering furniture, a cook in KFC and helping out my pal's bakery shop. The pay is good. The logic of an 18 year old. My mom worried sick until today. Back those days, we dont have any education fairs, my parents are the working blue collar class. Our school dont even have any solid info on guiding us to the future....so who cares right? The ones who enetered science stream have their future sorted out, while the arts stream is heading to the unknown. Then my sis, an USM alumni, told

Curating a show is a different challenge than directing a short film or a documentary. The proses requires so many changes and adaptation. First is identifying what you want to display? Every cultural object have their own significance.  A Painting is different than a cultural artefact.  A sculpture is different than tepak sireh.       A keris is different than a sculpture. ( understanding the message and the medium is important ) - i suggest picking up Marshall Mcluhan's to understand this.  with art keep expanding her boundaries, the most important issue is to gel them together in a space, at the same time working with each other? it's extremely devastating when you buka puasa and found out one of the TV heroes ( its so few for me ) Anthongy Bourdain is dead. Suicide. Hanged himself. The Cook's Tour introduced him to the world where we can see him eating nonsense but in Parts Unknown, his excellent informative series showed solid maturity, intelligent commentary that is rewarding.  Anthony - May you find your peace.

alot of people like to mention themselves,whatever they did this or that, an act of self re-affirmation. People who is wise and knows WHAT they are doing HAVE NO TIME for this - recollecting whatever they had done . I find it pathetic. This is why i always avoid school or alumni gathering. Blasting and sharing tales of yesterday. Past tense. Same thing with resumes, who on earth have time to read out your achievements this and that. Who cares? One of the important lesson i got from my dad is, never ever look back at what you done. He didn't mention anything about his experiences in combat, recce missions to his kids. Once, i got back home and opened up the drawer, i stumbled upon a collection of his medals. Not one, but alot. So i ask him the 5W and 1H of each medal.  i was out from the pop culture environment lately until someone showed me this i thought oooh ok, another fan, doodle art of Lion-O but to my horror, the studio is rebooting Thundercats. with this sort of "style", is this an insult? a joke? Take a look at the original Thundercats. Their opening montage is so good, etched forever in my 40 year old head. Its flow, dynamism, linking one scene to another - accompanied by a brilliant track...its nothing but SUPERB. so whoever behind this reboot shit......think again before you taking this gig man.
