As i'm trying to detox myself all from the normal Netflix woke offerings and the crap mediocre Disney commercial capitulations, i need to express my gratefulness to Ruben Östlund.   A set of comedic and situational mishaps, we are guided by two young female and male model, slowly introduced unto the terms of responsibilities, being opportunistic, victimization in regards to gender on responsibilities to foot the bill. Then we are off to a luxury yacht ride. Wide, painstakingly cleaned by workers of the third country, Nutella flown and dropped in by helicopter, the yacht is filled with socialites, capitalists, millionaires. Ruben, goes all out turned the pages of communism and capitalism, serving us a non-stop sharp, scathing critic on gender, social and class critique. As the air filled with idealistic quotes of Lenin, we witness the rich tourists swinging and tumbling around, vomiting and shouting in terror as their yacht going through a turbulent violent waves. 

 just when we thought we are running out of ideas for the rest to get angry, then we have another local film hitting the airwaves with a "controversy". Titled as PULAU ( Island ), we going to have those urban shit, fair skinned, trust fund Bangsar teenagers who doesn't listen to elders, decide to pay a visit to the island and as usual will face the spirit and it's related wrath ( preachy justification ) of the island.  how literal you can get with a horror film when you have a tagline of  #SiapaPergiDiaMati The trailer showed literally the whole movie  Since people have nothing else to do, they love to be angry for any reason. Triggered they flood the comment section saying that it looks like a soft-porn film, apparently more afraid of the bikini's and skins rather than the hantu itself.  again, asking the obvious Pity the make-up department team and the actors. A concept in social theory that asserts that the values of people experiencing poverty play a significant role in perpetuating their impoverished condition , sustaining a cycle of poverty across generations. Perpetuating = make (something) continue indefinitely .   The Tidak Apa Attitude so when a group of urban poor families who experienced hardship for 15 - 20 years, their mental and habits will ( persist ) continue to the next generation - unless one of the kids married off to a better family ( social or economic background ).  or if you are lucky, your parents battled out for 20 years to finance your studies so you can break the vicious cycle and go somewhere. From there you slowly upgrade to another level.  explanations of poverty must analyze how structural factors ( education/ economic / behavioral ) complementing with social and physical condition of an individual characteristics.
