A Girl You Should Date ( Between Fantasy and Reality )

This note migrated from my FB to here, Date a girl who reads.  ( no problem, the issue is what is she reading..........reading beauty magazines also can be classified as reading.) Date a girl who spends her money on books instead of clothes.   ( serious?.......ada ker?) She has problems with closet space because she has too many books.   ( what about shoes....? ) Date a girl who has a list of books she wants to read, who has had a library card since she was twelve. ( that is pretty cool ) You’ll know that she does because she will always have an unread book in her bag.   ( which is good to kill cockroaches ) She’s the one lovingly looking over the shelves in the bookstore, the one who quietly cries out when she finds the book she wants.   ( I did that and the Kino salesgirl looked at me like im a lunatic ) You see the weird chick sniffing the pages of an old book in a second hand book shop?   ( sniffing and look weird, define "weird" - tho

What i love being a Malaccan is that we are laid back - armed with a rough friendly lingo. As usual most of the time, others will think that we are RUDE, but the fact is we are not. Sometimes they can be LOUD too.... imagine an auntie screaming "Chou Cibaiiii........" when she spotted a cockroach... anyway, it seems people getting edgy and sensitive nowadays, since in the social media, they can impart their worthless 1 cent opinions and whatever related online. Back in those days where we dont have online and socialize offline - everyone seems more chilled and able to take any jokes with a tons of salt. What i meant here is jokes that is related to race. Mind you, Malaysians are multi-cultural and deep down ( honestly ) we are racists la....but what is awesome is, we take the joke as it is...so for those who are you are too sensitive, let me warn you, its better for you stop reading ok. Here is a scenario in my school back those days. As usual im in the boys school,

Ola Crap

finally gutted myself to purchase Ola Bola and watched it. I cringed and squirmed, seriously glad that i didnt watched it in the big screen. ( One of the biggest regret is seeing Deadpool in IMAX - the ticket costs me 28 bucks ). Anyway back to Ola Bola. this looks like Zouk than in a football field. In the social media, people lavish it with tons of praise - while mentioning it that they felt nationalistic after watching it. Same praise that i found in the Bersih related demostration posts...but Bersih demo have tons of people singing the national anthem ( so credits to that ), but this film ignored this important step which is.... singing The Negaraku- anthem It's as it the film is directed by someone who dont experience a live football game - for an audience who didnt experience a single football game. Mind you, football is a scared process - its like male losing his virginity - a rite of passage, a calling to a brotherhood. Watching the footballers give out their ve

Hipster

an ignorant generation who follows the latest trends and fashions, especially those regarded as being outside the "cultural" mainstream, kuat belanja duit mak-bapak buying stuffs, objects that they dont experience, coffee RM15 and above. Plus they love to hang out at gym too. While working if their gaji tak cukup it's ok coz mak bapak will fund them too while screaming in the internet for attention in the pretext of wanting "independence".

In my Art History class/lecture - the kids are exposed from Cave Art to Modernism era....lessons highlighting how the society and culture are influenced by technology. Its a short concise lesson ( 12 weeks to be exact ) and lasts around 1 hour ( shorter ) to be precise. Most of the time, my classes is kinda huge, so you need to control the environment...so your delivery process is smooth.....   Why? The kids ( gen Y and the Millennials ) now are visual based and need to be entertained - therefore i always highlight that "lectures" now need to brush up their communication skills, aware of what is happening now ( the current internet language ) and yes treating them as your nephews or nieces..... in short - you guys need to learn the skills of a stand up comedian, ensure your jokes is filled with common sense.... Lecturing is not a One way communication process, its a Two Way process.... you --------------------> the students --------------------> you  agai
