Lego and The Prime Directives

Confession - i have soft spot for Star Trek. After Mickey Mouse purchased Star Wars from Lucasfilm, i found their next move is predictable - they need to cash in their purchase as much as possible with releasing a new trilogy, mini-series and more so they have a younger fan base to finance it. The one who got Jar Jar Binks are now in their mid 20's, so let's introduce Rey and Kylo for the millennial babies and amateur and part time poseurs.

anyway enough talking of heartbreaks and disappointments.

Star Trek the Voyage Home is my favorite, where they need to transport a whale to correct their timeline, using a Klingon ship, JJ Abrahms Star Trek reboot is so entertaining as it looks and sounds like A New Hope.

Personally I don't buy Trek toys. Since i always dig the objective rationale driven Vulcan, who despise human error and liking for random crap, i need to build this using Lego pieces.

Traveling to unknown galaxies require you an all purpose communicator. A multi functional device to collect data, translate alien language.

From ordering exact numbers of sushi rolls to dealing with a Ferengi.

and yes - the standard issue Phaser, just in case you encounter any temperamental Klingons or Ferengi. I make it detachable and found out it looks like our "mouse". Cant blame the engineers or product design as sci-fi plays a huge formative aspect with technology. I have only one issue which Lucas correct it in his Star Wars universe, which is wear and tear. In Trek - everything is like a showroom model, sleek and glossy - so all of my versions required forms of brutality, been used and of course those unavoidable wear and tear.

The icing of the cake is you need to have ethics. Since you are equipped with unlimited "tech" supplies, you have the Prime Directives just like our Rukun Negara.

The Prime Directive prohibits Starfleet personnel and spacecraft from interfering in the normal development of any society, and mandates that any Starfleet vessel or crew member is expendable to prevent violation of this rule.

As the right of each sentient species to live in accordance with its normal cultural evolution is considered sacred, no Starfleet personnel may interfere with the normal and healthy development of alien life and culture.

( except for the damn horny Kirk )

Such interference includes introducing superior knowledge, strength, or technology to a world whose society is incapable of handling such advantages wisely. Starfleet personnel may not violate this Prime Directive, even to save their lives and/or their ship, unless they are acting to right an earlier violation or an accidental contamination of said culture.

This directive takes precedence over any and all other considerations, and carries with it the highest moral obligation.
