Apa Title?
word of caution - read this objectively not emotionally ok.
nothing is more irritating when people love to emphasize their material titles such as Tan Sri, Datuk Seri and whatever Seri'ness title in front of their name. And that includes all the academicians who love to put their awarded Doctor's ( which again, doesnt help anyone if i happen to bring them to any disaster/conflict areas ).
you need to put your name first - then only put the P.H.D after your name.
One of the candidate managed the country for 22 years, retired and now returning to the ring.
Well of course - nobody is perfect, but with 22 years managing a country - there are ups and downs. here is a guy who pegged the Ringgit once, ensuring, nodding their heads to see and look where the hell is Malaysia.
Like Sir Alex, his hair dryer and dictatorial stint ensuring the fans satiated for 22 years, filling the cabinets, successors after him crumbled. But managing a country and football team is two separate and different challenges.
Tun Mahathir doesnt sit and enjoyed his retirement quietly, he declared his disappointments openly. Alot of people said " dia ni sudah nyanyuk ( senile )". The concept of "Nyanyuk" and knowing what they doing or writing is different ok.
what is worst is forgetting what you supposed to deliver, itu lagi teruk than nyanyuk.
The ever objective Universe gave him time, love and energy still. he openly declared war with the ruling government. With this act, anyone who criticized /opposed him namely his political rivals opposition members accepted him.
All the public speeches mocking - ridiculing him now but forgotten.
When i saw this, Buddha's statement " Nothing Last Forever" " Everything Changes" comes unto my mind. Tun even took time to visit his former deputy. The word LIWAT came unto every Malaysian's consciousness. Remember in 2002, Tun showed his vulnerability and openly resigned from his post but persuaded to do a calm transition act.
Funny kan? But here is the best part, he is doing it when he still ALIVE. That's what it counts. It takes balls. People only visit relatives in the hospital when the patient is dying - not when they are healthy. People ask for forgiveness or tolong "maafkan" apa yang patut thru facebook post or messages......kalau nak mintak maaf - be a gentleman, come directly.
seriously Tun, you are now 92 years old, you put me unto shame by reviewing your schedule is....running up and down, in the age where you supposed to be seeing sunsets and sunrise with your wife. You constantly deconstructing and re-constructing yourself. Its unpredictable and fun. I rather have this than visiting an orang tua who bores me with their gripes and disappointments in life.
Your time for undoing what you have done. To correct and to claim what you think and felt you have done wrong - with this, you have nothing but my respect and admiration Tun.
