Hail Writing!!!

The Coen Brothers first and foremost can write, seriously they able to take any oddball characters, out of this world settings and make it believable. Their latest film, which i enjoyed and loved it so much is Hail Caesar. Surrounded by top notch stars anchored by Josh Brolin, there are so many problems he need to settle.

Few scenes cracks me up.

As the studio is producing a film about Roman Empire and the arrival of Jesus Christ. So Eddie have to round up a rabbi, a priest, theological experts to discuss-see if the script is well rounded in every perspectives. The result is hilarious.

Catholic Clergyman:
Christ is more properly referred to as the SON of God.

Eddie Mannix:
 Not sure I follow, Padre.

Rabbi:
Young man, you don't follow for a very simple reason; these men are screwballs. God has children? What, and a dog? A collie, maybe? God doesn't have children. He's a bachelor. And VERY angry.

Protestant Clergyman:
He USED to be angry.

Rabbi:
What, he got over it?

Catholic Clergyman:
You worship the god of another age!
Who has no love!

Rabbi:
Not true! He likes Jews.

and after that, one of the biggest stars in the film is kidnapped.

I can really relate to Eddie.....and directors who have difficulty handling talents who cant utter the line needed.

Laurence Lorenz:
Would that it were so simple.
Tobey:
Would that t’ were so simple.
Laurence Lorenz:
Would that it were so simple.
Tobey:
Would that t’were so simple.

[finally we see the final footage of the movie where Tobey is supposed to say his line]

Tobey: It’s… complicated.

p/s - this film only can be enjoyed by individuals who deals in this process for years, especially PM, Producers who can relate to Eddie.
