Nothing

expect nothing, seek nothing, grasp nothing - lines taken from japanese poets  as usual normal people will expect something , seek something and grasp whatever they want to get. Attaching to something is the basis of all suffering.  Do we need to add more suffering in our lives, please bear in mind we already HAVE to endure old age, sickness and ultimately death.  Bangang kan?

Kleptocracy....my ass

Image
written by Cicero 43 BC ( he is a politician too ) we as usual human beings likes to be distracted.....well of course, people are glued to their smart phones, watching cat videos and such.....Plato's Allegory of the Cave is simply brilliant. Who controls the fire and creating shadows to make the other caveman stay glued to the wall ( distracted ) is the smart one.

Credits and Bragging

Image
its very annoying when people put so much credits upon themselves. Cant blame them, as we are living in this social media age- everyone wants attention. Sure everyone loves credit, but what is nicer is - let the result of your actions speak for themselves. The universe always have funny ways of revealing it. a hard act to follow and to practice, that is why i always put my name lastly in every thing i did or better being anonymous. Honestly and truthfully I find it tiresome to explain everyone of what projects ive involved with. Imagine seeing 5 people - you have to tell everything AGAIN 5 times. I dont know when i begin doing this but its comforting knowing Sun Tzu wrote this Sure - Bragging requires efforts too - but does it carry any weight? Superman, Spidey didnt brag any of their efforts. What we know is all they wanted is - get the job done ASAP and head back home unto the arms of Lois Lane and Mary Jane. My late dad didn't brag/ share any of his missions - mil...

How to calm them down

Image
last time when the govt increased the petrol prices for 2 times annually - all Malaysians memekak - go nuts/ gila/emo and we will get this scenario the next day, They proceed - expressing their disappointments in the social media ....so the experts came in - decided to calm people down by rising petrol prices up 3 cents weekly per month. hehehehhe.....

Ground Control to Major Tom

its really important for people to stay grounded and humble at all times. Such a hard practice. The problem is that the nature of praise can turn unto criticism or worst insults in any given time. The universe knows how to place you accordingly - so its absolutely no need to scream for attention, share, thumping our chests or shout for credits.  its just way too bad that we live in the social media age - the age where people simply NEED to highlight whatever things they did. A temporal state where people assume that they CONNECT to everyone and with the world - but in reality is - they are totally DISCONNECTED with reality, worst themselves. p/s : do you remember what you promised 30 minutes ago, yesterday, a week ago, months ago?

What is Important?

Image
flashback three years ago, where Malaysia got hit by the worst flood. I was hugged by one elderly uncle ( flood victim ) lamenting that they lost everything. Well put it objectively - of course everyone will be devastated - heartbroken when whatever they owned for the past 30 - 40 years wiped away in a single day.... I consoled him and said that " what is most important NOW is you are still ALIVE", the uncle gave me a smile. Hugged me harder. Flashback to 2009  i broke my left leg in a bad accident, waking up in the hospital feeling down and depressed. My dad visited me, said " MOVE ON - Things happened - No point feeling this way" That word WOKE me up from everything.  You are awesome dad.  most of the time - we human beings will never get away ( embroiled ) from any emotional entanglements and whatsoever - but sometimes we just need simple words that enable to wake us up and move on. Move and do what is needed, rather than stuck in the past ...

Charlie is Missing

Image
apparently Charlie the Cat ( my nephew ) is missing since yesterday. Bet he got abducted by someone as he knows when to come back. Anyone who is reading this - send awesome prayers, doa ,wishes and energy for him to come back home ok. My niece found him in the dustbin, brought him back home Raya last year, so he got tons of love, attention and care - he grew up and fit nicely to the family. I simply dont understand or comprehend why on earth people like to abduct, take something which they dont own. hish..... niece, Charlie and with my late dad. miss you lil brat
