Sweet Nothing 2018

N submitted his royal pardon petition in September 2022, shortly after beginning his prison sentence.

December 2023 Pardons Board meeting, A was present. He has said that N application was not initially on the agenda, but he "brought" N case to the then-King's attention and presented the case for "consideration".

A said he presented both the circumstances of N conviction and factors that could be considered in clemency, including N previous positions, prison record, health and other considerations.

The King chaired the Pardons Board and made the royal decision. A has repeatedly said the final decision was the King's, not his.

On 29 January 2024, the Board decided to reduce N sentence from 12 years to 6 years and the fine from RM210 million to RM50 million.
