Of Ignorance and The Oppressed

During the lecture titled “Gaza Exposes the Complicity of International Actors,” one journalist posed a question in which he drew parallels between the Palestinian struggle and what Malaysian Chinese face here.

Galloway answered that he didn't find any similarities in both issues and denounced the comparison.

as usual, social media is aggressive and fast, noting that the reporter is an UEC graduate. The UEC topic has been controversial and a hot topic for years.

Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) is an examination for students in Malaysia's Chinese independent high schools, equivalent to A-Levels or STPM in academic level but with a curriculum emphasizing Chinese culture.

Widely accepted by universities in Singapore, Australia, UK, US, etc., but not by Malaysian public universities at the federal level, except some states such as Penang and  Sarawak where it offer partial recognition.

A long-standing debate exists in Malaysia over its federal recognition, tied to national education policy, Bahasa Melayu usage leading to national identity.

In regards seriously its embarrassing knowing people who are born, bred and growing up to be an adult here still cant utter a single word of Bahasa Malaysia. Living in their own bubble, they seriously don't know what is happening outside and best of all didn't take any initiative to know people outside of their comfort zone.
