Absurdity

Disclaimer - i seldom post anything - but when it strikes my conscientious and consciousness of seeing what is wrong, then it will justify what im  going to say here. 

1. mind you, where me and the rest of the countrymen busting our hard ass paying tax to help the ruling govt to fund their machinery and thousand of other related agencies to manage our country. Just when we already knew we are servicing endless 1MDB debt,cost of living skyrocketed to a record high, chicken and egg shortage and what not.

2. the first rule here is the govt need to crack their head to do to service the public. But no, we are entertained with numerous news, reports of issues ( not solutions ) and what made me write is - a national "art" institution parked under the Ministry of Tourism, paraded their circus act ( fully paid by the public ) labelled as "eco tourism " or "communal art" experience. 

3. flying a group of artist from Point A to Point B to interpret an communal issue?

4. who benefited from this? 

5. Is it the artists or to the place or to the environment? 

6. Does this add any holistic or tangible values?

Eco Tourism? 

Just when our natural landscape, reserved forest demoted from Class 1 to Class IV due to monoculture plantation namely oil palm and recently durian, the institution invited "artists" to create a sculpture and place it in a damn sea. 

the tourism industry now is in the limbo as we still cant defeat the Covid, cases growing and now the natural landscape is marred with this monstrosity. Never mind they can argue about "aesthetic" crap anyways ( im not interested to hear about it anyway )

why on earth people wants to do scuba diving and snorkeling?

they want to see the beauty deep in the sea. With these sculptures, does it inspire the fishes and corals to gather and dancing in celebration around it like Red Indians ?

a fucking sculpture? Hold on it's sculptures. Might as well you guys take the project budget and find out how to boost their local buying and purchase activities. But no, they need literally art pieces and artists. The beautiful natural majestic cliff now marred with this idiotic waste. 

sure - lets have a press conference on the location itself. 

so mind you - what sort of experience we are getting out from this? 

Again a sculpture about a group of brave warriors who fought alongside with the British against Communists. So how we going to learn the names and the efforts of the warriors with these? Its such a pity knowing their efforts immortalized in such ignorant "masterpiece" 

Never mind, the programme is fully funded using someone's money. 

The rakyat.

When you travel somewhere into unknown territories, you simply need to take time and effort in understanding how and what not of how locals lived. Your actions, thoughts somehow will ( consciously or unconsciously ) affect you and them. 

When you keep your comments away, open your whole senses to learn and absorb the whole environment and information around you.

In the fictional Star Trek Universe, we have the Prime Directive (also known as "Starfleet General Order 1", "General Order 1", and the "non-interference directive")  which is a guiding principle of Starfleet that prohibits its members from interfering with the natural development of alien civilizations. 

The Prime Directive protects unprepared civilizations from the dangerous tendency of well-intentioned starship crews to introduce advanced technology, knowledge, and values before they are ready. 

Losing the damn fucking plot 

whoever one designing the whole "Eco Tourism" are lost,misguided or simply ignorant insensitive individuals while the artists, i would love to congratulate them as they are perfectly dumber by participating in this absurdity.

When the society have a comfortable social net, have the basics covered, a multi connected environment and surroundings that educate and instill knowledge, then only they will continue to learn naturally ( not forced ) to go unto another level. 

Reality is we are saddled with increasing prices of basic necessities and ministers asking us to cut our egg consumption. 

It's ok, we will live another day.
