The Weatherman

its a bloody criminal - such an under-rated movie.

Gore Verbinski's technical 2005 film contained all the right dosage of goodness, relief and reward.

Forget the critics and the IMBD ranking. This brilliant film anchored by Nic Cage, who paid handsomely for a weatherman, due to his selfishness turned himself unto a classic loser. Here we witness him struggling to live up to the standards set by his ultra successful father, he tried to mend  mending broken relationships along the way and finally found himself anew in the end of things.

It simply took a tar-tar sauce to break the camel's back. Dave Spritz ( Nic Cage ) low self esteem goes further away as he painstakingly dragging his feet deeper to his non-existence and has people threw him fast food at him

its simply painful.

bound together with a wistful monologue, below is a list of  what Nic Cage ( Dave ) have to deal in this film

separated with your wife ( with your wife moving along with a new guy )

getting yourself a demotivated daughter ( who gets bullied )

a 14 year old son caught smoking pot ( who happened to have a gay counselor hitting on him )

an ultra too successful father whom he looked up unto - diagnosed with lymphoma.

Finally - we see Dave Spritz took up archery lessons, guiding himself slowly to work things back.

Nic Cage is simply unbelievably intelligent here. I forgot having the immeasurable Michael Caine as his dad helps too.  Best of all, the unpredictable, the comedic timing is a masterpiece.

as the ending credits roll, i was shocked to find out that they employed Hans Zimmer and Beastie Boys's majestic piece as a background.

By all means, please watch this.
