The "Alien" Immigrant

We come from the land of the ice and snow
From the midnight sun, where the hot springs flow
The hammer of the gods
W'ell drive our ships to new lands
To fight the horde, and sing and cry
Valhalla, I am coming!
- The Immigrant Song ( Led Zeppelin )

A particular immigrant was targeted and highlighted. The Rohingya. Years before, their arrival from Myanmar was welcomed, celebrated.

Just like in the brilliant 2009 District 9 film.

Their numbers grew, widened. Im not against the immigrants - but after witnessing they strategically build their communities, extending it by bringing along their spouses, brothers, cousins and what not.Small food operators and vendors hired ( exploited ) them - cheaper, hardworking and what not. Their main motivation is simply generate enough money to send back.

Local talents are expensive, employers require to pay up their benefits. Business owners and operators are busy to make sure their profit margin stay and used their very best to increase it.Most of them turned - in other words "naturalized" and accepted as citizens of the country. Rules and regulations adapted and tuned strategically politically and as a "economic" means.

As usual, when the communities started to grow, leaders appeared out from nowhere. In order to safeguard their interest and benefits of their communities, they start to make demands. Nice. Then leaders proceeded to ink /request demands, worst - antics leaked unto public consciousness and all hell breaks loose.

Malaysian population - 31.62 million.

a not so long tiger....
Having a worldwide pandemic - crazy infectious virus with no cure doesn't help to fan out the burning hatred.

immigrants round up in EMCO in Masjid India

EMCO

Bear in mind these guys who are the real engines who make sure the economies, who clean your apartments, garbage - manning your food stalls and what not.

Like in the brilliant 2009 District 9 film. Here "alien immigrants" nicknamed Prawns - made Earth as their home for almost 2 decades. Media manipulation, corporate economic capitalization, wanting to go home, media sensation, media coverage and public perception. All packaged in one bloody entertaining 30 million bucks film.

Nominated for Best Picture.

When art collides with reality......
