Supposed and Being Who You Are

Everyone FAILS at who they're SUPPOSED to be, Thor. The measure of a person, of a hero, is how WELL they succeed at being who they ARE. I love you my son Thor......and eat a salad
- Frigga, Queen of Asgard.

Supposed to be and Being and Acting of WHO they are two different concepts and ideals.
Supposed to be - at times these standards are imposed by societies, elders and social mechanisms, even at times parents who have high hopes and asking them to behave, act accordingly to their role.

Example No 1 - the kids are not studying even though examinations is near. Parents are the one having the stress rather than the kids.

Put it clearly - the kids are the one who is attending the exam, not the parents.

Most of the time -we rebelled against the rules imposed by someone or higher authority -  successfully branded as lousy, useless and what not. Does this mean that they are behaving of WHO they really ARE? The answer is - only TIME will tell.

Not societal, mass authoritative standards.

Heck even Gautama Buddha rebelled against the traditionalist and other teachers - seeking to find his own answers which lead him to enlightenment.

In Endgame - the future Thor who lost everything, played Fortnight, depressed, drowned himself with beers traveled to the past to find something that he is missing, which is being himself and do the best out of it. After an excellent pep talk from his mom, he reached out and when The Mjolnir reached to his hand, he screamed he is still worthy.

So what does it mean? It means that our existence here at least equate some worth and value. Please know this.

welcome to the world of adulthood, the land of debts, bills and endless class of responsibilities.
all of us are given challenges to improve ourselves day by day - the keyword here, just strive and seek the best of what you want, not others. When you become the very best of yourself, then only you will be able to serve and contribute to others.

So know your role and soon - you will know what you are doing.

Enough comparing yourself with others and what they have, seek out what you want instead.
