The Ever Grateful

I always imagine i able to travel back in time and spend 5 or 10 minutes talking to Socrates. Yea sure, a philosopher doesn't work as he always lamenting on things, lets go see Napoleon ( sure he is busy conquering all territories. ) Better still lets head to warring states China and have some minutes talking to King Ming ( the influential greatest strategist in modern warfare ), what i can bring home?

What is my take away?

Now rather than dealing this fantasy meeting all these people who left a huge foot print/actions - an indelible mark in history, the bountiful universe grant me to spend some solid minutes with Tun. Our former 4th Prime Minister who steered the country for 22 years and now returned as the 7th Prime Minister. After 15 years in exile, observing his students crumpling everything what he built, he goes into the ring - round up all his critics, opposition members to throw out the crippling regime.

tackling the horns of the disillusioned bull.

Rather than re-inventing oneself, might as well burn the whole thing down and start from what we have shall we.

You see - normal people can only pass some remarks, complaining unnecessarily and after the time is ripe, they hit the bucket. What they gave, contributed and offer to others from the moment they turned to an adult and crawling back to see the sunset? Did they create a masterpiece, build something, write or produce anything? Well im not talking about doodling nonsensical images and have 100 people liking them - but producing something WORTHY that able to last, fuel and inspire the next generation?

Tun is pushing himself to the very limits of impossibility, treading on whenever he able to and mind you - he is not 54 years old but 94 years old. His mind is still sharp, penetrating and knows what he is doing and why im saying this as i have the opportunity to be with him and "said something" before "requesting" him something.

To have him pose with the founding father of the nation - Tunku Abdul Rahman's portrait is damn priceless.

just few months back, when the whole nation gripped with election - temperatures goes feverishly high, everyone wonders - questions how on earth TUN will pull this off, the people found a common foe and semantics - the rich became richer, inflation rate getting higher and news thinly disguised as a tragic comedy.

The whole nation came out once and for all to show who is the boss. Everything that we been taught when we were kids like empathy, respect and logical, sensible reasoning is thrown out from the window as the loser still rely on the same formula which is belittling our intelligence. One illogical step which is so unacceptable and unreasonable is cutting TUN's photo from every poster or billboard. We Asians are taught to respect the elders.

Didnt you guys see LOTR : The Two Towers, when Treebeard and all the elders decided to show them a lesson?

Online election results banned like Pornhub. Its like our country won the World Cup when we got the election results and i know most of us cant sleep as our mind is still grasping of what is happening. We made a freaking point. I witness people crying and few sang Negaraku when TUN is elected officially as the 7th Prime Minister.

The old leading the country in the 22nd century. How about that?

So i dont need to rely on my fantasy anymore dealing and figuring out what i can get if i able to have minutes of conversation with Michealangelo, Picasso, Socrates, Napoleon or King Ming coz we are damn lucky to witness my versions of gurus this in our lifetime. Pride before cash, pride before material and intangible good values will always, by all means will WIN.

is there a need to compare, complaint and whine? Sure, we cant have everything and please everyone.

its all about growing some solid balls, gutsy, bravery coupled with intelligence to go against the ridiculous fool and his merry band of naked emperors. Its not about writing damning facebook or social media comments and then walk away, its all about walk the walk and talk the talk.

and most importantly DO something rather than sembang about something.

and TUN continues to WALK and TALK the TALK.

Thank you GOD and Universe for giving us this opportunity, a beautiful great lesson.

The most grateful.

The Dude Abides.
