Narrative

Netflix Narcos's hooked me immediately when i finished the first episode of ther first season itself. Im such a sucker for an engaging and beautifully wrapped story, Narcos packed another blow by their wonderful luscious visuals. Those wide angles, panoramic landscapes is a brilliant disguise for it's blood soaked, violent tales made of bullets, vicious deals and back stabbings between the patron or jefe's.

As we know Pablo Escobar opened the curtain and steered us to the second season, The colorful corporate Cali Cartel took over - soon as Pedro Pascal look over the horizon, we are brought to dusty exotics of Mexican landscape. With patience and some slow burning time, we are introduced to a new game, a new mechanism and we got new addictive substance architects in the form of the Pencil Man Miguel Angel Felix Gallardo and Micheal Pena as DEA Agent Kiki Camarena.

Just like any TV series - as we thought we are moving forward to another chapter, Eric Newman ( the showrunner ) subtly back - tracks unto the middle of season 1. Bloody hell. As we stand witness of how Miguel Angel Felix Gallardo uniting all the Mexican plaza's, bringing them under one roof - establishing a modernistic marijuana corporation, supply chain and systematic control of the industry and soon predictably having the approval of the Cali Cartel and Pablo to get hold unto the white powder - cocaine.

Im a sucker for this beautifully cautionary woven tale, and how all of these chapters arranged to engage us more. No more linear storytelling, now writers armed with more freedom to sort their stuffs unto a hyper-link nature of things, a spider web, which is so spread out yet cohesive and focused. Skip dragons and those winter armies.

I try to dig Euro-Vision's El Chapo, but forgive me - it cant match any of Netflix's polished products. Guess Netflix deep pockets really show solid evidence here. With Miguel Angel Felix Gallardo in jail, Chapo as one of the many ambitious Miguel spirited capo's who wants nothing except to contribute to the organization - got promoted to a DON, got unto conflict with the members of the Cartel The Arellano Brothers, joining them are the Mexican government headed by the corrupted General while advised by the US Embassy and the DEA - Mexico turned bloody.

No doubt they are trying to match the tempo of Narcos or not, but they fell behind..........really behind in terms of plot and yes visualizations. So i just hope and pray that Narcos Mexico Season 2 will get hold unto Chapo. The reason why i need to have this in my blog? Good writing with good visuals packs one solid sucker super mean punch.

Narcos is a better outlet than me entertaining and reading news of legalized elected bad guys or any banking finance corporation who wreaks havoc to the everyday man. These drug lord are better than those ordinary small dick Napoleons who hides in the pretext of name, titles and position. They took decisive choices and stick with it which to me ARE ten times better than any individual who kills, maim others in any ordinary business deals or in other word a disguised opportunistic selfish prick.
