An August Reflection

31st August is the our national Independence day. The day where we broke free from anyone and call ourself a nation, standing on our very two feet. That is after we got invaded by the Portuguese, The Dutch, The Brits, then the Japs and then Brit came again. In 1957 we broke the chain.

Until today, i still shiver and avoid myself when i hear any conference talking or discussing or discoursing about finding identity related areas....I dont know is there a need to find a singular, standardized form or image to show others that we are Malaysian?

Anyway - fast forward - lets see how our former colonial masters re-branded themselves in the new century where they reinvent, morphed unto cultural products. In the late 1990's, South Korea planned sneaked in and turn to a global cultural giant.

the universe for everybody.

Talking about Mcdonalds, they are really fast when it comes to any public related national holiday. Guess its easier to consume an ice-cream than kibarkan the Galur Jemilang.

while we have Uniqlo - now we have Uniso.

Happy Birthday Malaysia, you are 60 years old now.
