Flood Missions Dec 2014 - Feb 2015

with Hanapi
Time flies very fast, we are stepping to December, so that's another 3 weeks to go - closing a memorable 2015. December 2014 last year, without thinking much, ( right after a brilliant Xmas party ) i jumped to my pal's 4X4 to the East Coast right until late January 2015 ( means that's 3 months non stop ), we ferried goods, medical supplies, gas tanks to the flood victims, cleaning up schools and so - on.

we are screwed
Kelantan, Pahang and Terengganu got hit - devastated by the biggest flood ever. Illegal logging was one of the factor why the flood is huge this time.

waiting for godot
While the rest sitting down became annoying keyboard warriors, writing pitiful and ignorant fb messages, we go offline, breaking sweat -  chugging to the east coast. Let me say this out loud, the guys in this 4X4 team earn my full respect as they used their own personal vehicles, pooled our own money without any help from any organizations, we gritted our teeth and simply...DO

That gave me the genesis of Do Good Missions. Which i sold my artworks to generate a substantial fund to finance this missions. Most of the time, we don't have any expectation but give the very best and what we could afford.

Witnessing the devastation and loss - i found out the victims are around my mum and dad's age which is the late 70's and 80 year old. ( as the younger able guys went to bigger cities to work ) I term it "the mission that cut so much of onions".

What is brilliant is in this time of disaster, we DO have people who likes to take advantage too - especially idiotic reporters who wants the latest scoop, photography journalists who took this chance to highlight themselves - treating the victims as their subjects.

For me - it's shitty man - generating likes for this? Cmon!!!!

The reason why i wrote this post is, it's November now and it's raining heavily again. As most of my pal discuss recently, if we going to have flood again, it's going to be BAD. So please people, seriously - lets unite and do something shall we. How many times we need to face the same lesson and to realize that it's already late.

Azamin and his merry band of red armies, who helped house us for a week, then he initiated his own mission after we got back from KL. My heart jumps for joy.

Below are more photos taken from my personal collection. This is my first time sharing this to the world. If you guys want to contribute in my Do Good missions by wanting to purchase my original works - dont hesitate to drop me an email ok.
