A Documentation
Taoism is a belief/ ritual that can be complex, rigorous yet at the same time structured. Every thing have their reasons. Rooted directly based on Buddhism, Taoism feature so many deities. Every deity are given a special task/responsibility and they have thousand of followers.
For the deities followers - In order to elevate themselves from their current position, they are given special task to accomplish. I dont know what, how and when.
For us - based in Buddhism - we are reincarnated for thousands of time, and we need to find, ensure that we dont generate future bad karma and try to pay it back as soon as possible. If we are lucky, then we dont need to be in the vicious cycle anymore.
Flashback to late 2006, my mum told me that bro Desmond turned to a Taoist medium. I laughed it out loud as back then, i was completely an ignorant bastard.
Finally, i paid him a visit and found out that he is one of the chosen ones - chose by General Chang Fei. Chang Fei is a brilliant commander, no nonsense type ( infamous for his bad temper ), he is one of the famous trinity in the Romance of the Three Kingdom tale. The other two is General Kuan Ti and Emperor Liu Bei.
Since last year, i have been producing Chang Fei's potrait to be auctioned off to generate a substantial fund for the temple committee as they are looking for a permanent ground as currently they are renting from a shoplot.
The 2015 version is done to commemorate my bro's 10 year as a medium and the temple's 3rd year anniversary. How time flies. Producing this commisioned paintings is kinda awesome as you dont deal with the scumbag human beings but a deity.
