Ziarah Kembali H3R0
Supposed to be in Grik today to help out the 4x4 teams to feed 200 indigenous families, but it doesn't materialize. Then i planned to visit Wak and Ayob as Wak having his play KENA MAIN staged in Istana Budaya today, but the traffic is horrendous.
I felt its better for me to get some rest - as i didnt get any since the Melaka trip.
The weather doesnt help either. Managed to catch up with Ian for couple of beers. Its nice to see he is doing well and good. Besides that, i kept on producing drawings for my Do Good campaigns.
Melaka - Penang - USJ
The Penang trip is awesome - period. Meeting new people and familiar faces is welcoming. Its been solid one year since we wrapped up H3R0. Im glad the video reached to more deserving audiences. It got so many touching comments, most of the people who viewed it - loved it. That is my intention, when i decide to produce it, we pooled up our own money, efforts and time to pull it through.
Its a honest to goodness story.
anyway you can read all here, Hasnul summed it up nicely.
The digital projector used in the screening did justice to the visuals. The sound system is brilliant, hearing Demi Masa and Setiap Sekarang LIVE is wonderful.
Ainina and her dad Hasnul doesn't disappoint. Period.
Prior before the screening event which entitled Ziarah kembali H3R0, We met Adam, a Peruvian musician who lives in Malaysia for 2 years in Georgetown. We were intrigued and entertained by him, he hypnotized us with his beautiful flute. One of his flute has an eagle's head sculpted on it which imitates the eagle's beautiful screech.
He did a version of The Beatles Hey Jude.
We called him to attend the screening event, he obliged and we are happy.
Ziarah Kembali H3R0.
Hasnul texted me and mentioned this to me. Initially i wanted a closed invitation only screening - if possible i wanted only 10 people to attend - the event will be held in my alma mater. The last time i set foot in it is 13 years ago. Seriously and honestly, i simply lost every respect to every education institution in my second year. I will try to find time to write on why i lost my faith in this in another article.
But what is awesome is, i realized that its almost one year we finished this piece of work. Both of us experienced tremendous experiences and lessons in 2014. So this event is like a space for us to reflect. I can only pray and hope that audiences attended this event got a chance to experience what i felt when i first read Hasnul's notes about his dad.

We summed up with questions such as
1. what type of debt that we cant afford to pay up?
2. what are the immaterial things we are left with when our parents leave us?
answer for question no 1 is our DEBT to our parents. They are the ones who brought us to earth, nurture us, gave us a roof, love, guided us to become who are we are now.
answer to question no 2 is LOVE. You see LOVE is immaterial, unconditional. Mothers will always love their kids. No matter how good, bad, ugly or evil the kids can be - mothers will LOVE them. Even if you guys beg to differ, at least we should acknowledge the credits and effort of MOTHERS carrying us for 9 months and 9 days.
H3R0
Of many films i produced and directed, H3R0 hold a special space in my heart. It takes so much effort for everyone involved. Film making is a group process, collaborations and requires so much communication from all. A director is merely a conductor to the orchestra. But what is important here, i realized that it takes alot for me to gain trust from Hasnul in producing this.
I realized that a good story should be SIMPLE and HONEST, devoid of all pretentiousness and shallowness. I keep on searching and finding. The universe never fail to lead me to this. To all who watched H3R0, i hope you enjoyed it.
With honesty, full of love, affections and positivity to all.
Thank You.
