Dinding Bercakap 2011

Ok most of you guys had been approached about my latest project.The ones who are tagged are welcomed to invite everyone to participate in this. Tentatively i wanted to exhibit this project in Muzium and Galeri Tunku Fauziah ( USM, Penang ) led by Hasnul J.Saidon and his team starting on Aug 1 until Sept 16 which is  Malaysia Day.

This project will be called Dinding Bercakap. ( translation : If the walls could speak....it would be interesting to hear a "wall" speak ). OK,since Merdeka and Malaysia Day is approaching, so i think it's appropriate to do something concerning with Malaysia  without being cliche ( lets skip all those boring cultural shows, parade and etc )

I need a big help from all you guys who are tagged. please ask anybody to contribute a stack of post-it-notes complete with their thoughts, opinions, drawings or whatever in your post-it-notes on this question:


What you can do for MALAYSIA?

the post it notes must be either dark/light blue, red. This project is trying to minimize the usage of YELLOW. This project is not funded by DIGI or support a "rally" ok.

the collected post-it-notes will be exhibited and pasted to look like a Lego version Malaysian flag.( i cant find enough lego plus lego is damn expensive  and i had enough of people complaining full stop!!!.)

Remember it’s  what YOU that can do for the country, not what the Country can do for YOU!!!!!!!!
( reason of this project - i had read and listen enough of people complaining, whining and news of why people migrating the country. We are still here and we can do something, in order for us change, it's better for us to contemplate and be the change we want to see )



Important : Kindly contribute more red and blue post-it-notes.
dateline - i need to collect as much post-it as possible by end of July.Kindly pass the word around. The more the merrier. Just PM me so i can collect it personally from you guys.

p/s : your parents, siblings can take part in this also.

The Final Lesson by Syed Ahmad Jamal

Intro This is will be a long note - edited again thoroughly. Before i begin, this writing will touch on an individual goes by the name of  Syed Ahmad Jamal ( our National Laureate ) who passed away on 2011 and DBKL - stands for Kuala Lumpur Municipal Council. My heart dropped when Syed Ahmad Jamal public sculpture entitled Puncak Purnama ( Lunar Peaks, 1986 ) was destroyed by the local KL municipal council DBKL few days back. DBKL stands for Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur - actually is quite notorious for a list of bad PR moves by cutting off trees, blocking the Pertiwi Soup Kitchen ( which been feeding the homeless ), their zealous traffic summons - but seriously they broke the camel's back by destroying the modernist, geometrical - clean cut sculpture. The Battle of Non Permission This sculpture was highlighted in  2010 as "someone" decided to pimp it up, changing it's appearance without Syed Ahmad Jamal's permission.This is how it looks like......
