when we came in to donate, there is an Chinese brader who donated cooking oils and an Indian brader who donated a huge pack of meehoon. The Indian brader gave us a nod and said " bro - kita boleh derma apa yang kita mampu, kita kasi budak makan.." We laughed and everyone shake their hands...the place is Persatuan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim Islam Penang. Racial boundaries is simply conceptual.

imagine what a pack of 5kg rice can do for a family. The problem about dealing with artists is dealing with their emotional baggage - diva-ness - without any result, worst got the blame for not able to understand their works and so forth.Basic needs still need to be fulfilled, then if we able to cover all the layers in the Maslow hierarchy, then only an individual able to go higher. People just need to be aware about this. who cares about understanding about abstract art, listening to a monologue, poetry when they are busy scrambling to put food on the table. who cares about attending in polemical seminars...

i am extremely lucky when i got the Fellowship of the Ring to help me out for the post flood mission in Penang. You can only do so much alone, but with the fellowship - we can do more. Every disaster reminds will never fail to remind us that we are small, helpless and find the strength to get our life back. Its a renewal - reboot system. Digging deep within ourselves and foregoing all sympathies and condolences as it's useless as it already happened. So lets ACT rather than talk, criticize, finger out problems. Tak payah sembang ok.
